Where do you want to travel?

A Vegan Travelling The Globe 🌏

What to do when your not travelling?

Travelling full-time! doesn’t it sound like the dream? Obviously I am sure this would be a dream from most of you guys reading this post. But what do you do when you’re not travelling? Most of us cannot afford to travel full-time. So I have compiled a list of things to do when you’re not travelling and dealing with quote on quote “real life”.

#1- Focus on your health

Keeping healthy is one of the most important things you will ever have to do in your life. Think about it when you travel it’s hard to keep healthy sometimes because of where you are, unpredictability of schedule, the food and not as much time for workouts and exercise.

So the best thing you can do is when your settled make and plan to get healthy as possible which includes healthy nutrition, strength training and cardio so that you can minimise the effects of travelling on your health.

Also do some research about the places you will be travelling next and try to be prepared so you know where the healthy places to eat are and you know where a gym, field ETC may be to have a workout.

On top of all of that if you’re not healthy then you can’t travel anyway. The healthier you are during your life the longer you can travel for in your life time.

#2- Explore your own City

I’m sure there’s many places in your city that you have probably not explored. Go on Google and go explore some new places that you have not travelled to before.

Heres a list of ideas to search for in your city

  • Restaurants
  • Mini golf
  • Surrounding nature (eg beach, mountain, forest, park)
  • Go watch a sports game
  • Go to any local unique attractions
  • Go to a comedy show
  • Go to a circus
  • Go to a festival
  • Go to a dance show (e.g. Ballet, hip hop)
  • Go to you local landmarks, Markets, Monuments ( e.g. Big Ben in London, Eiffel Tower in Paris, Coffee shop in Amsterdam)

#3- Go on mini trips

It could be a small weekend get away to another town or city, it could be just a day trip or it could be half a day’s hike in a national park. If you do choose to go on a weekend get away go online and find a deal on a nice Hotel or AirBnB while on a weekend getaway.

Me and my girlfriend got an awesome deal on a hotel when we went to Belgium for a weekend and it really enhanced the experience of our trip.

What ever you choose to do on your mini trip what it will do is help you break the routine and will keep the travel juices flowing in you.

⬇️For an example of a mini trip check out this amazing little trip I went on with my girlfriend and friends⬇️

#4- Build an Instagram profile

From you previous travels and you future adventures like mini trips and exploring your own city why not share some amazing photos from them. This way you can interact with other travellers online by sharing your photos and getting ideas from other peoples photos for you future travels.

Do it for fun or do it as a project. I would advise you if you build an Instagram as a serious project for possible future monetization make sure your photos are quality and put a bit of research into how to present your page and how to take and edit your photos. Also be consistent with your uploads, if you plan to post 1 photo every day stick to it and if you plan to post 3-5 a week stick to that also.

Also most importantly of all make sure you bring value to your followers or anyone who may view your profile. Value is everything this is what will help you build loyal followers

Personally Have 2 Instagram profiles. I started them both for fun but I am now taking it up a level and being serious about them.

Personally I want to bring value to people and show them what is possible for travel and health and fitness as a Vegan. Also I am just the kind of person who wants to do everything to the best of my abilities. Personally I feel like I have something of value to offer so I want to do that the best it can. I have been given help and value through Instagram before so if I can help someone a little or a lot as long as I help them or bring them value that’s what matters to me.

#6- Save money

Now obviously if you want to go on amazing trips and adventures ASAP you’re gonna have to Budget responsibly and save money. Make sure you plan and put money aside every week that you can spare to save up for your future big trips and also put a litte bit of money aside for your small get aways and days trips. What you choose to put aside a week is your choice but make sure you are consistently putting in a similar amount a week.

PRO TIP- Start up a seperate bank account so you can put the money aside every week so you can see what your savings are seperate to your main account.

#7- Plan your future travels

“Failing to plan is planning to fail” I’m sure you have probably heard this before. 99 times out of 100 this is true. Make sure you gather as much information as you can so you can achieve the best value for your future travels as possible. Take your time researching and research and research more.

Here are some things to think about.

1- Know where you want to go?
2- How much will your tickets be?
3- What kind of travel & accommodation would you like? eg Luxury, backpacker, working holiday, budget traveller.
4- Will you travel alone or with friends?
4- What will be your transport be when your there?
5- What will you do there?
6- Where will you eat food? Buy food and make it your own or eat out or both?
7- Check you passport
8- What kind of Visas will you need?
9- Do you need immunisation?
10- Make copies and back ups of important documents
11- Phone and internet access on the road?
12- Accessing you money
13- Travel insurance
14- What to pack?

Make sure you plan everything as much as you can so that your trip can go as smoothly as possible.

Please share this post if it gave you some good ideas 🙂
