5 reasons why you should start your day with a smoothie

Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you feel slow in the morning? Do you feel like you need to make a healthy change in your diet? Do you want to feel energised and light after your breakfast? Changing you breakfast to a big smoothie could be what you need to make a healthy change that tastes great.

From my personal experience I have been having smoothies most mornings for the past 2 years. It gives me a sustained boost of energy for about 4 hours. I don’t feel slow at all and my body just loves it and I can definitely feel the difference when I don’t have a smoothie for breakfast. It’s an essential part of my day and here are 5 reasons why you should start your day with a smoothie.

 

 

#1 – It tastes amazing

It doesn’t take long to make and it’s delicious. If it tastes good and its quick and easy to make why not have one every morning?

If you have berry smoothies you can add in a hand full of Kale and even spinach and you wont taste it or you will hardly taste it.

 

 

 

#2 – Loaded with Nutrients

The amount of nutrients that you will ingest will take in will help your body so much. All the fruits, bits of vegetables and seeds help your digestion, circulations, hearth health, immunity, mentality, satiation, energy levels, insulin levels, skin, hydration ETC.

Literally it will help all aspects of your health and since I have had smoothies every morning for the past 2 years I have never had the flu and I have never had a major cold.

 

 

#3 – Easy to make

It is so easy to make, I don’t like to spend too much time in the kitchen I prefer to eat more than I prepare and cook. Making a smoothie is so simple and quick, my go to smoothie when i don’t have much time is made with bananas, mixed frozen berries and hand full of kale or spinach. How easy is that?

They are also so easy to customize and you can put any combination of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, protein powders, health food powders and milks and juices that you want.

 

 

#4 – Packed with energy

Instant energy! after you have consumed a smoothie with fruits within minutes you are getting the energy drip released into your blood stream for the next 3-5 hours depending on the size of your smoothie.

It will provide you with natural energy combined with a lot of fibre which will keep your energy levels consistent without and energy crashes and sugar highs and lows. It is good quality energy with natural sugars that your body will love and you will feel the difference.

 

 

#5 – It is a great pre and post work

Forget pre-workout powder that buzzes your nervous system out with caffeine all you really need is a small smoothie which will give you real quality energy.

A couple of bananas and some frozen fruits is all you need to have a great pre work out drink and post work out combine bananas, frozen fruits, greens, seeds and protein powder for the ultimate post work out shake.

It is such a quick and effective way to replenish damaged tissue after a work out and also refill energy levels because it absorbs so quickly into your bloodstream.
